hello hi hello there.
My christmas break was well spent. We went to Cabo this year with my whole family and it was so so awesome! Ethan and I got there Tuesday night. It was only my dad, rachel and paul. The rest of the gang came a little later. We went into town in San Jose and ate at jasmine's. It was way fun and a cute town.
Wednesday we tried to go to the gym but it was $20 for a day?! I thought they were trying to rip us off but yeah we didn't go. We went to Santa Maria beach and snorkeled. There were lots of fish it was very nice. We went out to dinner again that night.
Thursday in the morning we went to a beach. I can't remember the name of it was it was close by and nice and lots of rocks. The ocean there was just FILLED with jelly fish. it was so weird because they didnt sting you but you could feel them and see them everywhere. So I didn't go swimming that long cause it was so weird. We then went and packed up and went to the new house we were staying at. And holy cow my dad went over board and spoiled us. It was the nicest house ever with it's own pool and hot tub. All the rooms were so nice and there were SO many balcony's. We get there and there are chef's making us food and im like what....It was actually so good. One of the chef's had been baptized in texas and we invited him to church on sunday and he came!! We just hung out at the house and mom and sarah came and then brittany, brian and henry came. The chef's then made us dinner which was way good.
Friday we went to the club house. It was in the community where we were staying and it was so nice! Probably the nicest place we have been. There was an infinity pool that was perfect. It also had a gym. Then you could walked down and play some games on the grass. And then farther down you could go to the beach. We could order food there and just relax. It felt sooo good after working 60 hrs at great harvest the week before. We then went home and made dinner and played games.
Saturday we went to chileno beach. We snorkeled and swam and made sand castles. Henry was the star of the whole trip.
Sunday we went to church it was very cute. We then went to todos santos and walked around the town and got sunglasses and ice cream. We saw hotel california. Cute little town. We then went surfing at cerritos beach. I honestly sucked so bad. Ethan was SOO happy and pretty good for his first time! I gave up and then just boogie boarded and swam. I like swimming in the waves it is so fun.
Monday was Christmas eve. We went to santa maria beach again cause we liked it so much. We snorkeled some more. That night we made yummy dinner. We read the new testament on the roof around the fire and then watched a christmas movie.
Tuesday was christmas! mom made a yummy french toast casserole. Ethan didn't feel good so he stayed in bed. I felt bad. But i wanted him to feel better because we were going scuba diving later. We then exchanged gifts. Ethan started to feel better. We all went scuba diving except brittany and henry. We dove around the arch. It was so fun and cool! I love it!!! We saw a ton of sea lions! They get soooo close to us, like i could touch them! We saw eels, cool fishes and a ship wreck. I was playing and touching a puffer fish down there and it was way fun.
Wednesday was our last full day. We hung out at the club house and then brittany, brian, ethan and i went parasailing! It was so so fun! we were 700 ft high! It was a nice little getway. We then got ready and went out to dinner with them at the club house. The pina colada was sooo gooood.
Thursday in the morning we went to the club house and paddle boarded and swam in the ocean. It was so perfect and the ocean was so nice. I was just soaking it all in. I didn't want to leave. We then get ready and packed and left for the plane! It was incredible trip with my family!
Friday we picked up kiersten because she came for madison and jakes wedding. We went to pikes place and the waterfront with her. We then had madison's family dinner and had yummy mexican food. Us bridesmaids then went to the melting pot and got chocolate fondue. It was really fun.
Saturday was the wedding!! The sealing was so great! It was raining all day sadly but that didn't kill the love! Pictures were a little crazy but fast. We then went to madisons and got food. We then went to the reception and got ready again. The reception was so pretty. I was just so happy for madison and jake! It was a perfect day and i just love love. Now we have married friends here too!
Sunday we drove to yakima to visit my grandma. We had dinner there and played games. It was good seeing her. She gave us all some of her antiques.
Monday was new years eve. We really didn't do much. Laundry probably. We just relaxed and went to the gym. I watched taylor swifts reputation tour on netflix. Ellie came over for a bit and we just caught up! it was good seeing her. Ethan and I kissed at midnight and thats as exciting as it gets.
Tuesday we went to franklin falls hike. It was snowing so we wore yak tracks. It was so pretty!!! I love every minute. Fergie went with us. Then grandma and grandpa came over for dinner and games! We played chicken foot!
Wednesday we went skiing at alpental. It was a little icy but still so fun! Especially for our first time of the season. We got lanponi and hot tubbed after. We then watched the wedding singer in the movie room.
Thursday ethan and I had a date in the city and it was so perfect. A little seattle rain that made it magical. We went to the space needle to the top. it was so nice that they remodeled it. The whole thing is glass! They have a revolving glass floor! We then went to the chihuli exhibit. So pretty. We got to watched how they do it too. We then went on the monorail and went to the seattle art museum since it was free. We then went to shake shack for dinner!
Friday we went to the temple! It was awesome to see the changes. I love the seattle temple too cause it just where I got sealed and my endowments out as well. We got indian food too of course! My mom then drove us to auburn because ethans parents were in town now. We got to hang out with them. We played lots of games with ethans dad.
Saturday we just flew back to utah and saw brittany, brian and henry for a bit. They fed us which was nice. We then drove back.
i cant believe it is 2019. Not gonna lie this year is going to be a big year. Lots of changes and uncertainties. I am just really grateful I have ethan by my side through it all. Here is to a year of adventures and hopefully traveling!!
