fall 2023

Well well well. I don’t know if I am going to keep doing this, definitely not going to upload photos. Just one. It was a really good fall, don’t have much to complain about luckily. Fall is my favorite time of year. I feel like it was pretty low key honestly. We just did one trip to kanab.

I’m writing after Christmas happened. I’m actually currently flying to Seattle to go home. Our flight got canceled and couldn’t get it rebooked until today and it was delayed HOURS today. It’s been a long day to say the least. So we celebrated Christmas separately this year. I guess, Rachel, mom and Paul were the ones in Seattle and all of us were at Brittany’s. It was actually really good. Just a bummer our trip is shortened in half.

I’m excited for 2023. I can’t believe this year is over. The beginning of 2022, where I was a year ago on Jan/feb was probably my lowest of lows. I still have a lot to work on but it’s crazy how much I have grown. I feel like a different person and I’m super proud of that. Here to 2023! More traveling, learning, getting stronger, and loving life!

summer 2022

It was fun looking back on photos from this summer. I kept saying it was a long summer cause Ethan was finishing school doing his internship full-time. And it was a really busy summer, a bit different than “normal”. But it was really good & had a lot of fun. I’m just so glad Ethan is done with school.

We went to Bear Lake for a couple days with Ethan’s family. It was way fun. Everyone was there except Deborah. We stayed at a nice place. It had a pool and yard, fire pit. We played games and ate lots of good food. Trey’s parents took us out on their boat which was so nice. We hung out on the beach too. It was way fun. We got Mexican food & raspberry shakes! We already have our trip planned for next year!

My grandma Udell passed on July 7, Paul’s birthday. It was unexpected but also not really. Of course she has been suffering for a while so it’s a good thing in a way. I’m glad she isn’t suffering anymore. Her last word was shit which is so funny to me and so fitting. I’m just said cause it has been over two years since I had seen her cause of Covid and other things. So I feel bad I didn’t see her before she passed. She went really peacefully which was so good. Her funeral was really nice and we saw lots of family that was hadn’t seen in a LONG time.

After her funeral we went home for a week. It was way fun. It was a fun filled week for sure. My mom got chickens they are so cute. We went to pine lake. We went to Friday Harbor with Ethans dad. It was a beautiful day. We went whale watching!! I have been wanting to do that forever!!! We saw 7 orca whales!!!! 😍 it was a dream come true for sure. Orcas are one of my top 3 animals so it was really cool to see them in their natural environment. We saw another whale but I can’t remember the name. We ate yummy food and just enjoyed the coast, lavender fields, lighthouses. It’s just gorgeous. We hike lake 22 with Ethan’s dad the next day. We went to the arboretum with my parents and kayaked at uw. It was actually really cool. We saw beavers & cool birds. We hike around mt rainier one day and it was amazing!!! I wanna go back so badly. There is so much to explore. I wished we lived there sometimes. We did lots of boating, pickleball & ate lots of my moms food.
